Gmarket Haul #8

Haul# 8, order placed on 2012-01-11, 6.21 Kg

2nd Haul in January... This is probably why my wallet is suffering. Big thanks to Hope-inablog again for all the Gmarket tips and reviews!
[2012/03/19] Updated with short review on Coreana Zain sleeping mask
[2012/07/19] Updated with short review on Hyosiah Black Bean Fermented Cream
[2012/07/19] Updated with short review on Hyosiah Purifying Pack

Danahan RGII Premium EX Cream
Item# 228001815
Finally pulled the trigger on this one after the Hydro Cream was added as a bonus. I was hoping to try the RGII line but it turned out to be pretty heavy in fragrance. Most of the products were given to my mom so hopefully the scent wouldn't bother her too much. I'm currently trying the 15ML Premium EX Deep Wrinkle Cream to see if it'll help with my laugh lines.

Coreana Zain Vital Energy Sleeping Pack
Item#  217315083
Holy price increase! This was ₩22,000 in when I got it back in January...now it's ₩26,300. Haven't tried it yet as I'm still trying to finish my Sulwhasoo overnight treatment and samples of Sooryehan sleeping pack from the gift sets last year.
Started using this last week; so far so good and no allergic reactions. I was hoping for a light 'n fresh floral scent but it turned out to be more of a deep floral scent. It's not a major issue since I'm still able to sleep when I use it at night. The product itself is pretty effective; it's rich enough that my face still feels moisturized in the morning (but not sticky like the awful Dr. Jart sleeping mask gel.) I would repurchase this again if there wasn't a price increase...gonna try the Hannule and Allvit sleeping masks instead.

Chosungah Raw Dayshu Cream
Item#  238973757
What a surprise! I've been wanting to get this ever since it was reviewed on Hope in a blog. At first I thought it had made me look all greasy due to the pearly cast that it left behind. But once I checked under natural light, my skin tone actually looked pretty good!

OHui Sun Science Luminous Whitening Sunblock
Item#  238178575

Daal Whitening Drop Spot Serum
Item# 209871237
Not sure where to apply this since my whole face needs whitening...

Daal Brighten Drop Peeling Gel
Item# 210146570
Gave this to my mom, I'm trying the one from Hyosiah. We'll see how they compare once she gets around to using it.

Daal The First Serum
Item#  213177395
There was a slight problem with the local delivery fee for these Daal products.  The First Serum was free local delivery, while the other two were Free on Condition for orders over ₩20,000.  I wanted to buy The First Serum (₩19,000) and the Whitening Drop Spot Serum (₩15,900), but Gmarket kept charging ₩2500 for local delivery. The fee was omitted once I added the peeling gel, so I figured for I might as well get the gel for ₩9,900 instead for paying ₩2500 for shipping. I emailed Gmarket about this in addition to another problem I was having with the oversea discount coupons, but they said these issues were all related to the recent system updates...
As for the product itself, I've never used a first serum before so I don't know how it compares to other brands. I'd say it does a pretty good job for retaining moisture and prepping the skin for the rest of the stuff that goes on it. It's probably the least sticky out of all the products that are going on my face. If it didn't smell so awful, I'd definitely re-purchase this again. (I hold my breath every time I put this on...)

Hyosiah Black Bean Fermented Cream
Item# 225924524
This one has a balm-like texture. Love the scent and it really does keep my skin from being dried out from the heater.
[2012/07/19]  Finally finished this last month. I liked all the Hyosiah products that I've tried so far but the black bean fermented cream was definitely the highlight from this set - It was rich without being greasy and had a scent that didn't drive me crazy (see above.) I started using the Sooryehan Yunha toner/emulsion after finishing the samples from this set. I thought the Yunha toner was better than the Hyosiah but their emulsion was awful. Not that the Hyosiah emulsion was great but at least it wasn't sticky like the Yunha. I still have half a bottle left which I'm using as body lotion now ;106

Hyosiah Purifying Pack (below, left)
Item# 216670643

[2012/07/19] Started using this after I was done with the Innisfree Volcanic Clay Mask. They are pretty similar except that the Hyosiah has a thinner texture. Both are easy to spread and don't crack as they dry. I actually prefer the Innisfree because it's easier to apply an even layer due to its thicker texture, plus it's cheaper. I'm pretty sure I'll go back to Innisfree after finishing this tube.

Hyosiah Peeling Gel (below, right)
Item# 216670543
Tried this several times already. It works like the Laneige peeling gel that I had a few years ago. This one leaves my skin soft and smooth...so I guess this means it's working?

B2ST 1st Concert Welcome to Beast Airline
Item# 237213463
Not a Beast fan but I enjoyed watching it. The concert itself looked pretty low-budget -- No live band (from what I can see) and one of the cameras was always out of focus. Nevertheless I appreciate the fact that they are capable of putting on a concert-level performance, unlike some acts that half lip-sync at their own concerts.

And on the topic of concerts, I still can't believe the JJ Lin and Jay Chou concert DVD's came in 4:3 format. Either their companies are stuck in a time warp or there must be tons of people still using CRT televisions in Taiwan. I've learned my lesson -- Never buy any DVD's from Taiwanese companies unless they specify the screen size is 16:9 LOLOLOL

  6. I purchased the danahan set after learned it from hopeinablog,  but I haven't try it yet.  I Does it help your laughing line?  I also bought Dayshu cream, and loving that.  It is weird but i like the smell of Daal first serum.  It is quite nice.  That is a lot of skin care purchases.  Btw, nice little mini review on your purchase.

  8. Thanks :)  I think the Danahan cream does help a bit with my laugh lines.  I've been using it for about 2 weeks but had to stop because of a really bad allergic reaction (long story...rolled down the window when i drove by a construction site...got rashes and breakouts)  I'm back on it now so hopefully i'll see some results eventually.  Did you get the gift set with the 2 Dayshu creams?  I'm still regretting that i didn't get it...

  10. Oh I didn't get the gift set, because I bought it a couple days after hopeinablog did a review on the new dayshu vs old dayshu cream.  It is quite nice, but sometime, I over used it and it made my face looks too white or pale.  I am still deciding whether I like the Dayshu's cream effect better or Etude Nymph Aura Volumer with History of Whoo Whitening bb cream?  Dayshu works better when I feel lazy though. Did you see the new Danahan whitening essence included as a free gift for the set?  I want to try that.  Bummer.

  12. i c... haha the Dayshu cream leaves me looking like a manikin if I over do it. I usually finish with loose powder even though it kinda defeats the purpose of the cream. I've seen lots of good reviews about the Etude Nymph Aura Volumer but my face gets kinda oily so I figure it's probably not for me :P

And yes I saw the post about the Danahan whitening essence too:) Darn...should have hold off on the purchase for another month to get the whitening essence instead. Btw, have you try any whitening products from Beyond?  I'm really curious since it was selected in the Allure Korea best of beauty list.

  14. No, I only tried History of Whoo Whitening line, and Su:m 37 whitening line.  How do like the Ohui Luminous Whitening Sun Block?  What are your thoughts on it?  I am debating whether to try Ohui Luminous or Re:nk Luminous Sun Block.  Thanks.

  15. Sorry I haven't try the Ohui sun block yet. It has a bead inside so it's probably pretty runny. I'm still trying to finish half a tube of the Hera Sun mate so it might be awhile before i get to this one. Hope in a blog mentioned that the Ohui luminous block has "a powdery finish ( like the Whoo old whitening cream)". Hope this helps :)
